Welcome to ISS at the
Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office
Working in Partnership

Transferring to ISS

You may have heard that ISS has been awarded a new contract with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

From 1 May, 2026, ISS will deliver cleaning, catering, technical and workplace services to FCDO sites across the UK. We are extremely excited about the new partnership and the opportunities it brings.

You and the team delivering these services to FCDO are critical to its success so if you work in these areas – for Mitie or Gather & Gather, then your role may transfer to ISS and your current employer will confirm this.

Town Hall Sessions in January
Thank you to everyone who attended the ‘Town Hall’ events in January. The sessions were a good opportunity to see colleagues transferring, introduce ISS and share information about the transfer. You can find the slides from the Town Halls here.
We will be arranging 121 meetings to talk to you individually and discuss what the change means to you before the new contract starts in May - more information will be provided soon. In the meantime, you may see members of the ISS team visiting FCDO sites as we get to know and understand the FCDO estate better.

About ISS
If you’d like to know more about ISS, you can visit our website: www.uk.issworld.com. ISS is a large global organisation with people at its heart. We provide many services for our customers and their workplaces and believe that ‘our people make places’.

We understand that change can be unsettling so appreciate your commitment to providing services to FCDO and continuing to perform your role as normal. If you have any immediate questions, please speak to your Manager.
We look forward to getting to know you as we prepare for the new contract.
